Tools to help you get into your character

Sometimes teachers have required students to set up real social media accounts in the name of fictional characters. Yes, it is a though-provoking exercise, but the author has no control over what the student chooses to post or link to, and other people might think it's sanctioned or run by the author. And who knows who will respond to the students? There are tools that allow students/writers to create fake texts, Facebook pages, and Twitter profiles.  (Let me know if you know of more, and I'll add them here.)
