Want a personalized, signed book?

Want a signed, personalized copy of one of my books?  Contact my neighborhood book store, Annie Bloom's Books at 503-246-0053, and tell them what you want - signature only or a personalized greeting to a particular person.  They will contact me and I will come in to sign them.

How to contact me

Many teachers want their students to learn how to write a "real letter." While this is a wonderful thing, I do not give out my home address.

I also don't have a PO box. I can be on the road for weeks at a time - and thus not at home to read or respond to your letters. I've also been forced to do the math as the amount of fan mail I get has increased. Replying by post requires stamps, paper, envelopes, and toner. (Not to mention the fact that my handwriting is so bad that a recent birthday card I sent to my agent in June did not arrive until February of the following year.)

For all those reasons, I'm email-only these days. On the plus side, email is fairly quick.

If you want to send me a note and you expect a reply, email me (address listed below) or use the form below, and I will write back, I promise. Oh, and if your teacher asks you to write a "real letter," just format it like one, email it, and I promise I will do the same in my reply.

(If you have both a school email and a personal email, please use your personal email as many schools have a firewall)

Readers: I'd love to hear from you

(or just email:  april@aprilhenry[dot]com, and change the [dot] to a real dot.) I answer every single email, so if you don't hear back, try again - and make sure your email address is correct. If you use your school address, make sure your school accepts e-mails to student from outside the school. Many don't, so you may need to ask your teacher if you can borrow their email. (Oh, and teachers, do me a favor - don't assign a whole class to write to me, unless it's as a group writing one letter.)  Because I'm on multiple deadlines, I cannot give feedback on your writing (but I do have tips under "Write"). Sometimes people think I would be interested in writing their true story, or their great idea for a story, but that's not my jam. (But I totally think you should write it!) Also note that if you want to receive my newsletter and be eligible to win prizes, you need to sign up above.
